Just for fun: French Flea Market

The last two posts have been about my amazing trip to Seattle to visit with my lovely sister-in-law Angela.  While there we attended a photography class at Gas Works Park and had a fun photo shoot.  Next on our agenda:  a fabulous French-inspired Flea Market in Kirkland! But first we headed to Wallingford to an amazing little cafe called Chocolati.  When I say that was the best chocolate drink I have ever had, I am REALLY not exaggerating.  Add a chocolate-covered, truffle-stuffed fig to the mix, and we were both pretty “chocolate buzzed” after that.

Now on to the flea market!  We decided to continue our photo workshop by catching some of the sweet little details in the booths and shops along the way.

It was a wonderful weekend with an even more wonderful sister!!!  Who knew learning could be so much fun.

Mentor Shoot: Anne Nunn Photography

This summer I had the privilege of going on a mentor shoot with the amazing Anne Nunn of Anne Nunn Photography.  If you haven’t checked out her work, you should.  She is incredible!

The extremely talented Susan Dusseault of  Lily Fields Photography also joined us as we headed to the Bald Hill Natural Area near Corvallis to take pictures of this adorable family.

It was so overcast that you never would have guessed it was June, but that just gave us even more opportunities to learn some tricks on getting  good exposure.

I just loved watching the interactions between the little girls and their mom and dad.  Such a loving family!

The whole day was a wonderful experience.  I learned so much from Anne and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with and observe someone as talented and gracious as she is!

By the way…the adorable tutus and hair accessories  are by Alicia Hancock at Margie and Mabel.  Check out her site!
