Family session: Three kids and a big red barn

This summer I had the chance to go to one of my very favorite places and take photos of some of the cutest kids ever.  I really enjoyed getting to know Gina and her adorable little ones as we explored some of the sights at William L. Finley National Wildlife Preserve.

I love the wildlife refuge because there are so many different backdrops for great photos.  There is an 1850s farmhouse built by a family that came over on the Oregon Trail, a beautiful big, red barn, a huge hunting lodge, several gazebos, and of course, all the woods, trees, and nature you could possibly want.  It’s a great place for a picnic or hike (in fact, my family takes me there for Mother’s Day every year). There are several easy hikes perfect for kids as well as some more challenging ones for the bigger folks.  The refuge provides maps and brochures for the trails and even bird and animal checklists.    If you have a chance to visit, you should definitely check it out!
